Bab5: This is Just to Say

I have not forgotten
the rewatch
that I promised
here

and which
you were probably
giving up on
as abandoned.

forgive me
I had house guests
so entertaining
and so analog.

– o0o –

I need to watch the episode again and crystallize my thoughts a bit. The plan is to get it written and posted on the weekend at the latest.

Thank you for your patience.

I look forward to each of the Bab 5 posts; insightful, and they bring the old episodes to mind in a thoughtful way. Thank you for doing the posts on whatever schedule makes sense. =]

  2. Jonathan @1:

I’m glad you appreciate them. I’ve certainly found writing them to be an interesting and stretching exercise, one that benefits me to. I do a lot more thinking about what I watch when I know I’ll be writing about it.

But you know how it is on the ‘net. So many things get started and then just fade away. This is me promising that that’s not what happened here. 🙂

  3. Fade Manley says:

I’m still catching up on the episodes I’m behind on, so that I can watch more or less at the same time as the rewatches here. (Watching immediately before and immediately after reading your take on them make for very different experiences, but I find both superior to watching rather distantly before or after.) So…yay! More time to catch up!

  4. Mary Aileen says:

I’m with Fade. I (temporarily) suspended my rewatch so as not to get too far ahead of you.

I figured the delay was Life being it’s usual contrary self. I’m glad to hear it’s for a good reason (visitors) rather than a bad one (e.g., illness).

  5. Avram Grumer says:

    so much depends
    upon

two million, five hundred thousand tons
    of spinning metal

    a shining beacon
    in space

    all alone
    in the night.

  6. Paul A. says:

I have no complaints about your timing. I only got caught up to “The Quality of Mercy” yesterday.

  7. Serge Broom says:

Abi… We’d rather have you enjoy what good things Life sends your way. Also, we don’t want “B5” to become a burden.

  8. Serge Broom says:

(argh.. hit ‘post’ before checking out the followup box)

  9. Lenora Rose says:

As Serge says. (In #7, not #8)

I kind of jumped ahead slightly – I’m right before the Coming of Shadows – because I rewatch shows while working on pottery (I should probably say ceramics, as it’s handbuilding, not wheelwork), and rewatching a different show didn’t seem to make as much sense. But I’d both rather not outstrip you too far, nor pressure you into watching at a rate you don’t enjoy, or which gets in the way of your actual life.
